Snug is built to know as little as possible.

What the app reads

• Each window's position, size, role and owning app, through macOS Accessibility. Nothing else.
• Snug never takes screenshots and never asks for Screen Recording permission.
• Window titles are never stored or logged.

What the app stores, on your Mac only

• Settings, in the standard macOS preferences for Snug.
• Scenes, rules and the smallest size each app accepts, as files in ~/Library/Application Support/Snug/. Scenes store app identifiers (such as com.apple.Safari) and positions, not titles or document names.
• Your license key and activation, in the macOS Keychain.

What the app sends

• License activation, a weekly check and deactivation, to Dodo Payments' license service: your key and your Mac's name.
• Update checks, once a day, to snug.macmuse.app/appcast.xml.
• No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reports.

This website

This website uses Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use its pages: clicks, scrolling and anonymised session recordings. Clarity sets cookies and is covered by the Microsoft Privacy Statement. The app itself sends nothing to Clarity.

Clarity is not loaded on the thank-you page. The license key there is read from the page address in your browser and never sent anywhere. Purchases are handled by Dodo Payments under their own privacy policy.
