Every window, fitted snug.

Snug tiles each window the moment it opens, keeps big screens readable, and puts your desk back the second you plug in.

Try it right here: drag a title bar, drag a gap, close a window.

How it works

  1. 1Pick a layout

Choose one for each display, or keep the one Snug picks from its shape.

  2. 2Open apps

Each new window drops into the next free tile within a blink.

  3. 3Screen full? It grows or stacks

Big displays add a tile. Smaller ones stack the newcomer in the focused tile.

  4. 4Close one, the rest reflow

No holes. The remaining windows close the gap.

  5. 5Dock it, your desk comes back

Plug in your monitor and every window returns to its spot.

Big screens

Center Stage keeps your main window in the middle of an ultrawide at a readable width, with side columns left and right. A width cap stops any tile from stretching across a 49-inch screen.

Make it yours

Every change here updates the preview, exactly as the app's Settings window would.

Questions

Which Macs does Snug run on?
macOS 15 Sequoia or later, on Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
Does it work with more than one display?
Yes. Each display has its own layout, picked from its shape, and Snug keeps a scene for every combination of displays you use.
Can I keep an app out of tiling?
Yes. Open the Snug menu while the app is in front and turn off “Tile [app]”. Excluded apps are listed in Settings › Rules. Dialogs, sheets, panels and full-screen windows are never tiled.
What happens with Stage Manager?
Snug pauses while Stage Manager is on and the menu bar panel says why. Turn Stage Manager off and tiling resumes.
Why does Snug need Accessibility permission?
macOS only lets one app move another app’s windows through Accessibility. Snug uses it to read each window’s position, size and app, and to move it. It never reads what is in a window and never asks for Screen Recording.
What does Snug send over the network?
Only license activation and checks, and the update feed. No analytics, no telemetry, no crash reports.
How does licensing work?
One payment, for 1 or 2 Macs, with every 1.x update included. Moving to a new Mac? Choose “Deactivate this Mac” in Settings › License and activate on the new one.
Can I get a refund?
Email support with your order details. The refund policy page has the details.Refund policy.
Why isn’t Snug in the Mac App Store?
App Store apps must run in the App Sandbox, which doesn’t allow moving other apps’ windows. Snug is signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple instead.
